“The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions.” Alfred Lord Tennyson

Happiness seems to be the ultimate goal and if you aren’t happy now, you would probably say that you are pursuing happiness so that you could be so in the future.

I work with many clients who are looking for a better relationship or would like to find a more fulfilling career and when I ask them what they really want, 9 times out of 10 they say they want to be happy. The problem is that when I ask people when was the last time they felt really happy, they either can’t remember or they recall a time when they were kids and their biggest concern was an algebra test or at whose house they were going to sleep over.

When I think about adults and this relentless pursuit of happiness, I picture hundreds of hamsters frantically running on their wheels getting absolutely nowhere but somehow thinking they are making progress.

While most people want to feel happiness, most have no idea what it would take to make them happy. Have you ever known people who no matter what they do, how much money they make, what new career they begin, or what new relationship they have, they are never able to find happiness? Then there are those who seem to have nothing by society’s standards and are as happy as can be. The reason is quite simple. Happiness does not come from the acquisition of things or from titles or new relationships. Buying a new house, going on a vacation, or getting a new title at work is never going to make you happy unless there is something even more powerful going on inside you – inside your heart and your soul.

So, How do I Find Out What would Make me Happy?

1. Define happiness – See if you can verbalize in very concrete terms what would make you happy.

I ask clients to define happiness and my request is often followed by a long silence or a less than verbose statement such as “I just want feel good – you know I want to be happy”. It is often very difficult for people to define what happiness is for them, what it would look like, and how they would know if they achieved it. It is no wonder that the pursuit never seems to end and happiness seems to elude so many people. If you don’t know what it is, how can you go get it?

2. Be Real about Your Expectations

There are many people who look at other people and compare their lives to their own and then experience feelings of inadequacy, lack, and jealousy. Many people see other people and think everything seems to work out great for everyone else. They say things like “everything always works out for her?” or “why can’t that happen to me?”. That perspective is flawed and will lead to greater dissatisfaction every time.

Everyone has a story and it is the rare event that things are exactly as they seem. People spend a lot of time and energy trying to show the world their best side but most of us have no idea what they are going through in their lives. If you spend all of your time wishing your life was like someone else’s or envying others for what seems like a life filled with happiness, you will likely be missing out out on the joys in your own life. No two situations are the same so stop comparing yourself to others and appreciate your own situation. All of the energy you free up can then be used in your own life.

3. Do Not Expect Others to Make You Happy

Happiness comes from within. It comes from feeling good about who you are and how you are able to relate to the world around you. It comes from living your passion and surrounding yourself with good people. It comes from having a deep respect for yourself and for what you have to offer to all of those with whom you come in contact. It comes from being grateful for everything you have and from appreciating your place in this world. It does not come from other people. There may be people in your life that contribute to your happiness but if you were not happy before, they cannot make you happy. Only you can make yourself happy. Do not look to someone else as your source for happiness, look to yourself. If you are able to do that, you will be able to see happiness in an increasing number of places.

4. Act Happy – Fake it if you have to

If you aren’t there yet, fake it. Act happy. Tell yourself you are happy. Live happily. The best way to be something is to practice it. I do not become a runner by wishing for it. I become a runner by running every day. Even when my legs feel like lead and my heart is racing, I am still running. It is easy to be happy when things go your way. That is because you are relying on the external for happiness. Remember happiness is a state of mind and you have the ability to control that. Practice being happy and get connected to those things inside of you that make you happy.

5. Stop Pursuing it and Just be Happy

There are plenty of reasons to be happy. Think of yours today and instead of waiting for happiness to come or to “happen” to you, start experiencing it now. Our lives may always be a work in progress and we may always strive to do, learn, and grow more, but there is no reason why we can’t experience happiness at every step along the way.

Is dancing your passion? Are you looking forward to learn how to dance hip hop style? If your answer is yes, then you have landed at the right place. Yes! In this free Hip Hop dance guide, we will teach you how you can learn to dance hip hop style step by step. Hip hop is pretty much an intense dance that helps in building balance, a great figure and strong muscles. In this type of dance, there are different combination’s that are broken down in counts and each count is then broken down into different movements and finally all those movements and counts are assembled and a dance is formed.

So now when you know what a hip hop combination dance is, here are few points to ponder and you are on your way to start dancing hip hop.

Warming up: Just like you do before you work out in a gym, its equally essential to warm up before you start dancing because just like doing an exercise in gym, dancing is also kind of a workout in which majority of our body muscles get involved

Developing the right frame of mind: Since dancing is the activity that needs both, mental as well as physical participation, right knowledge can only be attained with focus and willingness to learn how to dance. It is of utmost importance to concentrate on the steps to be followed since lack of concentration can lead to learning incorrect movements.

Experimenting with the moves: It is very much important for a newbie to think creatively while learning dance steps. Although there are steps that are already predefined for the kind of dance you want to perform, but there is always some space for adding a new flavor to the already existing moves and its always good to think of new creative moves that can be mingled with the existing ones.

Dancing with Passion: It is observed that many novices often start learning to dance with no expressions on their face which makes the complete event very boring and flavorless. It is vital to live the dance to the fullest, to completely get involved leaving all the tensions and worries behind because the more you get involved in the dance, the more you feel confident and that confidence ultimately reflects on your face bringing lively expressions resulting in fabulous performance.

Practice makes perfect: Practice is always the best teacher. You can achieve perfection only if you practice, practice and practice because practice makes you identify your flaws and helps you overcome those.

So if you are looking forward to learn how to dance hip hop flawlessly in style, follow the above mentioned guidelines and you are on the right track to become a fabulous hip hop dancer.

Jitendra Gidwani is a passionate hip hop dancer and avid freestyle and salsa dance teacher. He has been involved since years in creating several mini courses and free dance guides for the aspiring dancers wanting to dance passionately and flawlessly in style.

Start off your thanksgiving holiday right with some fun and free thanksgiving games to keep the guests entertained. These are easy little activities that help remind everyone of the point of the thanksgiving holiday while keeping everyone involved.

Its autumn and outside there is a veritable wonderland of interesting stuff. Have the guests get all bundled up and head outside while waiting for the food to cook with this Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt. You’ll need to make up a list of the following items that the guests can find by themselves or they can break up into groups to scavenge. They are:

o a red leaf

o a brown leaf

o an orange leaf

o a yellow leaf

o a pine cone

o an acorn

o a walnut

o a dried weed or pod

o a seed

o a piece of bark

o a sweet gum ball

o dried berries

o feather

The first group to get all of the items or to get the most items wins. You can hand out special prizes for winning such as feather boas which are made from turkey feathers.

The Giving Thanks game is a fun activity that also helps to remind the family what the point of Thanksgiving really is all about. Have everyone sit in a circle and start off the game with a sentence that lists something really unusual that you are thankful for such as, ‘I am thankful for Hotdogs because…’ and then the person to your right has to finish the sentence with the reason why they are thankful. When they’ve completed the sentence they get to begin a new one with the wildest subject they can think of to be thankful for. This can be anything, aliens, feet, or even sneezes. Try and keep the circle going as long as you can.

Pool chlorine products are not the only way to sanitize a swimming pool.

Many people do not like the toxicity and odor of water treated with chlorine and prefer other methods to keep their pool safe. It is not environmentally beneficial to use a lot of strong chemicals on a regular basis. A non-chlorinated pool feels and tastes better to a lot of people.

Salt Generators

Chlorine is created by a salt generator that transforms a tiny bit of added salt in the pool. Chlorine need not be routinely added. A treatment with chlorine of other oxidizing chemical will be needed if the pool becomes contaminated. The pool water needs to be checked regularly because with salt generators the ph tends to get high. Muriatic acid will reduce it.

Bromine

Bromine is nice for tender skin and has no bad smell but it is more pricey than chlorine. It also needs to be added more often because it burns off quickly in sunlight. After mingling with harmful contaminants bromine continues to work where as chlorine becomes deactivated.

Ozone

Impurities react with ozone, a form of oxygen which is active. When the ozone gas dissolves in water it combines with pollutants and oxidizes them the same way as chlorine. Because it makes them join together, they are easily removed form filters. You can cut chlorine use by 60% to 90% with ozone.

Copper and Silver

That copper kills algae and silver kills bacteria and viruses is well known. They have been used for water sanitization for a many years. After ionization by a very small amount of electricity, copper and silver react with the pollutants in the water destroying them.

The bacteria and algae join together so they are easier to remove from the filter. You will still need to regularly shock the pool with swimming pool chlorine or a non-chlorine oxidizer but regular chlorine usage will be greatly reduced.

Summary

Most people who keep their pool safe with different pool sanitizers do so because they are tired of consistently fighting algae, swimming on a regular basis in harsh chemicals and paying for the amount of swimming pool chemicals needed.

The options are there and a web search will help you find more detailed information if you want to find out more.

Our website provides Swimming Pool Chemicals and comprehensive troubleshooting guides for swimming pool related problems can be found here: Pool Chemicals Troubleshooting.

The Internet has become something of a democratiser over the past few years, allowing people to post online their opinions, thoughts, feelings and plans, and to have their voices heard in a way that could never have been imagined prior to the advent of the Internet as a mass media tool. This has led to a proliferation of information from many thousands of sources, some of which is excellent and makes one wonder how we survived before the Internet and some of which is of such staggeringly poor quality that it makes you wish CERN would take back the entire network in one fell swoop and save us all from the views of people who are really quite ill-equipped to diffuse their views.

One sphere in which the move towards a mass information movement has been incredibly useful, and makes the Internet nigh on indispensable, is in the realm of consumer reviews. If you are planning a holiday and want to know how other people’s experiences have gone in the same place, with the same carrier, or at the same price, then the Internet is right there to allow you to find all that information in the space of a few clicks and presses. The advantage of this is that you can get right to the nub of matters and benefit from other people’s experiences.

There are two main kinds of review sites – the critic-based review site, on which the reviews are written by somebody who is paid to experience a service and report back on how good it was, and the consumer review site. The latter is a more recent development, and has been one of the real success stories of recent years. The magic of consumer reviews, for many, is that the people giving their opinions and the benefit of their experiences are “people just like us”. People who are paid to review something will often receive the service or the goods free of charge, or at a vastly reduced rate, and may even benefit from an expense account. The “consumer” review is a review from a service user who has paid out of their own pocket for the experience, and if they have been anything other than satisfied then they may have a legitimate grudge.

On the flipside to this, if having paid for a holiday the passenger reports back saying how great it was, then you can set quite a bit of store by it. No-one is going to be happy to have paid for a cruise if it was anything other than genuinely impressive. Thus a passenger review will, for many, carry greater weight than a professional review.

There is a counter-argument to this, of course, which is that passenger (or any consumer-) review sites can often be used as a front for a marketer to “plant” a good review for a service in the knowledge that people are more likely to view it as unbiased. As in all things, exercising some caution is a good way of operating. If you see a series of good reviews for a product or service, then the likelihood is that they are genuine. The only way you can be surer is to just go and see for yourself.

I was in Tucson last week for an event and when I arrived at the hotel my room wasn’t ready. So, I decided to head to the mall to do some shopping. I didn’t have a car so I had to run there. It was about 7 miles each way. As I was heading out the door the doorman asked me where I was running. I told him to the mall. He thought I was crazy. When I showed up a few hours later, sweaty, tired and bit sun-kissed from the blazing sun he had a million questions: Do you run a lot? Are you tired? How long have you been running? He was genuinely interested and even a bit overwhelmed that it didn’t seem like that big of a deal to me. How does something like that become easy?

So I thought about all of the times that I take for granted the things that I have accomplished or what I do on a daily basis that are just second nature to me. Then I thought about the things that scare me – the things that I think about doing or wish I were doing and how they create a bit of anxiety for me. And I realized something pretty cool. Most of those things are only big because I haven’t done them YET!

There was a time when I first started distance running in high school when a marathon seemed HUGE, when getting paid really well to do work I love (while in my pajamas) seemed out of reach, when earning 2 masters degrees and getting great funding for PhD programs (which I didn’t accept) to study my passions seemed like a big deal. Once it all happened it no longer felt big.

These days I look at doctors and heads of industries and people who are making a huge impact on the world and it feels huge to me and often like a position I’ll never reach. I think about the kind of work I ultimately want to do. Then I remember it’s not too big or out of my ability or reserved for the uber special few – it’s just that I haven’t gotten there yet.

So, whether it’s an act of physical strength and endurance that inspires you, an amount of money you want to command for your services, or a position of power you want to achieve, it’s NOT too big for you. It only feels that way because you haven’t done it yet. There will always be the thing that seems BIG to us. That’s what drives us, keeps us on track and inspires us to do more and be more every day. The challenge is in not letting what feels too big to take you out.

This guide is for DMC3 Dante’s Awakening (Dante only). It will be updated for SE (Special Edition) later. Mission 2 The Blood Link Average Requirements: Time – 3.30 (Hardest) Orbs – 4500 Style – 5000 Total Enemies: Hell Pride — 13 Hell Lust — 4 Hell Wrath — 3 Hell Sloth — 3 Sub Boss: Hell Vanguard – 1 Suggested Battles: Only 1 place again – Dante’s Office: Front Suggested Set Up: Royalguard with Spiral & K Ann + Beowulf & Nevan OK first off, start charging Trans-Flux. For the first wave, give them all a nice Jam Session by running just in front of the closest Pride (and I actually mean so he is targeted & all others are behind him), then hit him with Tune Up and proceed to Jam session. That’ll knock most of their health to the minimum and spread them out. From there, just kill them in whichever way you choose. For the next wave, do a Jam session to the first Lust that appears, then in mid session DTE and continue charging it up again. That’ll clear one of the more awkward parts of this battle. After that you should only have 2 other Lusts and a few Prides to take care of, which Spiral or K Ann will greatly aid. Once they are taken care of, 2 Wraths will appear. If you have E & I + RG, I would suggest you use them to charge up a few rage bars. Those will help take care of the Sloths that are coming up. After they are destroyed, get to the furthest end of the screen (near the entrants of mission 3) and wait for the next Wrath to appear, then destroy him ASAP. Now run …

If you want to know the secret to writing rap lyrics, then check this out. You will discover tips to write rap hip hop lyrics.

Have you ever used a mind map to help you write your rap song lyrics? Do you know what a this is? This was a new idea too, so I had to discover what this was. In our discussion today, we will determine what this map is and also show you how you can use this to help you write your songs.

A mind map is actually an exercise that will help you come up with all sorts of ideas. These ideas can be used to write papers, books, rap hip hop lyrics or even to draw pictures. A lot of times, we think that we can come up with ideas if we just sit and think. Honestly, this isn’t necessarily a bad idea. You may be able to come up with some great ideas. However, a it is the best way to come up with some ideas.

A mind map is a diagram that will help you to come up with you thoughts and ideas that you put on paper. Begin with writing down your main theme. Let’s try some examples. My main theme is nature. I’ll write that down in the center of the paper. Then I just start to jot down ideas that are related to the central theme. For example, I will put down the following words. Trees, flowers, birds, wind, rain, hail, thunder, lightning, That is just a start. My next step is to write more words that will underneath each of those words. For example I would write underneath trees, words like leaves, branches, bark etc.

As you can see, we have already come up with a lot of ideas. So the next time that you need some fresh ideas for your rap song lyrics, use a mind map to come up with them.
